Terrence and Jeanette Granger married in their late twenties. They struggled for 7 years with infertility, until they had their only daughter, Kaitlin. When Kaitlin was just 12 years old, she discovered that her father was having an ongoing affair with then veterinarian, Denise Paul. Terrence confessed to the affair, because Denise fell pregnant with Kaitlin's younger sister, Tara. Jeanette filed for divorce. Three years later, Terrence and Denise got married. Tara was 3 and Kaitlin was 15, and pregnant. Kaitlin was in a relationship with Deacon Sharpe, who was a kid in her home economics class at their high school. They got married, and Kaitlin gave birth to their daughter, Blakely. When Blakely was about 10 years old, her parents divorced, mutually with out any bad blood. They are still really close, but just grew apart as lovers. Deacon is now re-married and living in Windenburg with his new wife Laurel. They are trying to start a family. 5 years after Kaitlin's divorce, she and Blakely are in their own place after staying with her mother on her ranch she owns with her long term partner. Kaitlin just started a new job as a substitute teacher, thinking that she can work her way up without a degree to support her and Blakely and be able to send Blakely to college in the next few years. Kaitlin's sister, Tara, lives in Britechester, where she is a student at Britechester University studying language and literature. She lives with her best friend of 10 years, McKenzie in the dorms. McKenzie just got married randomly though MCCC to Gunther Munch (lol). McKenzie is studying Music.

Kaitlin has tried so hard all of Blakely's life to give her the life she deserves. Kaitlin is now having to navigate being a new person at a job, new in town, and single. Freshly 30, the clock is ticking. She'd like to meet someone new and settle down, and perhaps give Blakely little siblings. Blakely hopes to run/own her own spa one day, specifically a nail spa.
