Laya is the young woman Alexander manipulated and slept with during his investigation in StangerVille...eversince she woke up in his bed alone that one summer night, she hasn't been the same. She has never been left like that before, normally, she is used to being the one to break hearts...but after her and Alexander's explosive union...he was the one to leave her. She found herself completely broken.
For seasons, Laya was obsessed with finding him, with the idea of looking into his striking green eyes again. It took A LOT of digging, but eventually she found information about him...and his Wife...and Daughter. Laya was initially even more heartbroken when she learned of their existence, but soon, her sorrow turned to rage. She was determined to confront him.
So...she worked her way into Alexander's circle. Laya found an opportunity when Alexander's closest friend's Wife passed away. Bjorn was very much NOT Laya's type, but she charmed the grieving old man into proposing to her within just weeks of meeting him. Then finally, Harvestfest came...and they received an invite to the Benson family home for dinner.
The dinner however, did not go as Laya planned at all. She walked confidently into his family home...ready to make a scene...but as soon as she got inside, she was greeted by all of the people she resented the most. His beautiful family.
She saw his Daughter, his toddler Grandchildren, and his elderly wife...they were all so...happy. She noticed Alexander as soon as he joined everyone in the living room, she could tell by the daggers in his eyes that he remembered her as well. He immediately corrected himself and pretended he didn't know Laya, that he was happy to finally meet his friend's new Fiancé...Laya felt...completely defeated.
The rest of the night was torture, she ate his Wife's amazing food...and she even endured a conversation about dinosaurs with his Grandson.
When Laya and Bjorn got home, she broke off the engagement right away...she had no reason to stay with that man anymore. She is now living her life in solitude. Devoting herself to her research.
Maybe someday Laya can have a beautiful family of her own...Life Stages: adult
